Rachel's Third Week With The Summer Box

Rachel has normal to oily skin with a tendency for clogged pores and acne. She lives in sunny Singapore, where temperatures average 30-35°C/85-95°F, and humidity ranges between 70-90%.

        

General Impressions

 

This week was a great one! I think I’ve got my routine down pat, and have been consistently using all the Summer Box products. Like the other reviewers, my routine has been pared down quite significantly – Coconut Serum has pretty much replaced all the serums I used to use in my morning routine!

 

I’m still floored by how well the products work together to give your skin exactly what it needs in the heat and humidity.

 

Changes I’ve seen

 

As always, my cheeks are my indicators of how effective a product is, and I think they’re really loving the Summer Box! The Strawberry Exfoliating Toner (coming soon!) has been really good for speeding up the healing process since it encourages cell renewal and clears up the top layer of skin cells. The physical exfoliation from the Oatmeal & Rice Cleansing Grains (coming soon!) also helps with this, plus it gets all the accumulated grime and skin cells from the night before off, making sure my skin is fresh and ready for my morning routine! Coconut Serum is such a great multi-tasking product too, and thanks to this little guy I’ve been able to cut down on the steps in my routine.

 

There’s lots of oil control going on, too, which means less shine and fewer spots popping up every couple of days!

 

Overall, my skin remains lovely and soft to the touch. Over the past week, I’ve really started to see what people mean by having ‘glowy skin’ – the Summer Box is for sure going to get you to glow central! You will be lit from within by the same rays of light that plague you in the summertime. THE TABLES HAVE TURNED.

Any changes I’ve made

 

This week, I started using the Strawberry Exfoliating Toner (coming soon!) in my PM routine as well, just to see if it made a difference if I used it twice a day. So far, it seems to be helping with absorption, but I can’t tell yet if there’s a marked benefit to using it twice instead of once.

 

Overall thoughts

 

I’m really happy about how the Summer Box is working with my skin! It really seems to have products that everyone can use: there’s not a single product that excludes a certain skin type, for example; it even has a dry shampoo and most people have hair, right? It’s a superbly well-curated and universal box. I’m in Perth at the moment, where it is not actually summer, and my Summer Box routine still works like a charm: it provides enough hydration to battle cold winds, still keeps my acne and oil-production in check, and continues to deliver that killer glow!

 

I can’t believe the reviewing process is almost over; there’s so much more to discover about this one box! I can’t wait for all of you to get your hands on it, too! <3
