This is the first set of products with Magic dragon, I've bought to try and I love every single products inside this set. Within 2 weeks of use, my persistent hormonal cystic like acnes did not appear 1 week before my menses (I would typically get 1-3 cystic like acne monthly).. I was shocked. The acne still appear, but it was much smaller in size and are not headless! so it heals faster and does not leave behind nasty scars! I would recommend getting this set to try if u have acne prone skin.
I really enjoyed receiving my packaging - it felt like a nice way to start a new regimen. I don't think this works great for me because I have more normal/sensitive skin than I do oily/combo. But the rose products smell amazing and the camel mask really is an effective overnight spot treatment. Recommend, just make sure you're diagnosing your skin type properly before you do.
I've long dealt with adult acne, and as the daughter of a dermatologist, I can attest I've had the privilege to try just about everything under the sun that dermatologists recommend without finding a solution (mostly because there seems to be too much focus among MDs on washing away oil and not enough on finding a healthy balance of moisture). I've had to figure out what works on my own, and figured out some of the same solutions Koh has (but she has gone oh-so-much further on the research and trial train). This set worked great for keeping my skin soft while getting rid of acne. I find I only need to use the full set once or twice a week, except I only occasionally use the camel/yeast mask (which doesn't smell great) and I only need the camel milk cream in winter. So this set has lasted me a year and been effective, which made the high price seem worth it.
Not a fan of the cream (too thick) but otherwise love the products. I found it was better to use them intermittently at night and moisturize in between nights- or I got a bit dry and irritated. Rose cleansing balm smells amazing but you need the other rose product to get it off, which smells pretty earthy. Asian powerhouse and marine serum work well on my acne, eye oil is nice.
I have this set as recommended as a starter kit for begin my new skin routine. I was worried as I have very sensitive/oily skin. Every little change in product can flare up my skin. I was skeptical and yet desperate about managing my skin. I was amazed how the Rose Balm oil really spread. A little really does goes a long way. I was cautious about using oil at first but to remove the proper way really does a clean job. The rose foaming cleanser leaves the face smooth. the SB power duo is amazing. The ingredients are really active. I can feel my skin very smooth after just 1 application! The camel Yeast mask is also the first mask I've ever used that brings immediate result. One application smoothed my skin and overnight spot treatment helps to soothe my angry acne. Basically, this is a very good starter for very oily skin. My skin is no longer red and itchy. Applying makeup is easier and does not oxidized. My skin looks good even after a long day at work. Even it if my gets oily at the end of the day, it doesn't look flushed angry. Skin looks smooth. I would add in Maple essence toner and Peat Piper at entry level too.

I restock my marine once I finished my sample size from the revive set. Not sure the exact things that Marine does, but I noticed my acne scars got much lighter and my overall hormonal cystic acne skin is much better after a month of daily usage. I feel that the APH and marine (the only serums in the set) must have played an important part in the improvement of my skin. It gets absorbed quickly as well..
I think this has definitely help to control my cystic acne to become a more manageable type of acne. It has become smaller in size and instead of headless, it will come to head. I apply it day and night but it can be drying, as I noticed skin flakes on my chin. I most probably should just apply it once a day. With long term usage, I hope I would have lesser and lesser acne.. feeling pretty optimistic with SB'S range of products!
I LOVE this. It smells like fall and gets me in the fall spirit without me having to go fight a bunch of kids in a pumpkin patch. Works beautifully under moisturizer and makeup and I felt like it soothed my skin.
I bought a sample of the donkey cream and knew after two or three uses that I'd come back for the full size. This is a beautiful, gentle, deeply moisturizing cream that I seriously look forward to using every night. (I mix my prescription tretinoin into it every other night and that also works well.) I also don't plan on buying eye cream again anytime soon because this is gentle and moisturizing enough for use around my eyes, which can sometimes be sensitive. Great texture, lovely results, and a very nice scent.
My daughters have bad break outs. I applied the tea tree & volcanic ash serum on their break outs and their acne cleared up. I love this serum. It's great on bad break outs.
I have combination skin. I use either Dorian Grey's serum then apply the Dreamer's mask. I leave it on over night. When I wake up my skin feels soft. It has helped to clean up a break out I had.
I tend to have a combination type skin. I cleanse my face. Then I apply a thick layer of the blue wave cream. It smells wonderful. It softens my skin. I wear it over night. It has a calming effect too.
We’ve all had a bit of a year, yes? As we move through the rest of what’s to come, this delightfully scented mist is just what I needed. It smells like a damp, dark, very pine filled forest in the best possible way. Spray twice in cupped hands and slowly inhale. Breathe and breathe again. Close my eyes. It’s the best two minutes to get me through whatever the day has in store. The scent lingers for a bit, not overpowering at all, just the lightest note to bring you back to calm.
I normally don’t leave reviews but I feel compelled by this amazing product. My late thirties skin has been horrendous and unpredictable but SB always soothes it. After using the sample size blue wave cream every night for a week I noticed a pleasant surprise. Blue wave cream is not only fading discoloration, it is also brightening my skin. I just upgraded to a full size and am looking forward to slathering it on all winter.
I love essential oils and I might love this spray more - it is so light and refreshing. The instant effect of grounding without having to rub anything on my skin.
It's so rare to find a toner that really cleans your skin so well. I started using this toner by applying it directly to skin like a serum and I do feel that it preps the skin for the after products as the products absorbed MUCH better and faster than it used to.
However, as I have clogged pores at my chin area, I started applying 2 to 3 drops onto a cotton pad and start applying it like a toner. Oh wow.. I'm shock how much dirt it removes after my double cleanse. I can literally see that the cotton pad turned darker. Using cotton pad seems to enhance the cleaning effect, as my face will immediately feels warm unlike when I applied it straight to my face. I also use lesser product when I use it with cotton pad.. so it is great!
I had the pleasure of trying my sister's stash while at home for a few days. Love the smell, texture and thickness. Like most of Sabbatical Beauty products it was hydrating but wasnt oily or too heavy. My skin felt very soft and moisturized after use.
I had the pleasure to try the Blue Wave Cream when it was in the testing phase, and it was one of my favorite creams that I've tested. As with all SB products, a little goes a long way. A small amount of the product, roughly half to 3/4 of a dime, soothes and nourishes my often dry skin. It doesn't pill with other products, and for those of us who wear makeup, it also wears well under makeup with a primer. (I've never worn it without a primer.) I'm nearly 40, and my skin is youthful and I'm frequently mistaken for being in my late 20s or early 30s. Equally as important is knowing where my money goes. I don't buy from brands that oppress people. I don't buy Chik-Fil-A. I don't get Ipsy subscription boxes anymore. I don't buy Too Faced anymore. I want my money to go to businesses that hold the same values I do. Sabbatical Beauty is that brand. It makes me feel better than when I can give money to an ethical business that is unafraid of taking a strong stance against racism, sexism, and fascism--and that is what Adeline and SB do. I'm grateful that Adeline and SB don't pretend that they can be neutral in the face of white domestic terrorism and hate.
This mask is a staple in my routine and after only a few uses, I'm even more in love with the new formulation. I use it as an over night spot treatment on pimples, and as awash off mask all over my face to help fade acne scarring and discoloration.
