Marine Serum is the product that launched Sabbatical Beauty into existence. It is supercharged with deep ocean antioxidants that help to heal irritated, red skin, acne-prone skin. It smooths away fine lines and makes your skin just wake up with an unbeatable glow.
Ingredient Deep Dive:
🌊 Sea Kelp Bioferment: Fermented Sea Kelp is so deeply healing to skin that it has launched many a marine-focused skincare brand. This jelly-like, skin microbiome-happy-making substance forms the majority of Marine Serum and gives it is bouncy texture.
🌊 Red Algae, Black Algae, Giant Sea Kelp, Hawaiian Algae: Practically every seaweed in existence is in this serum to help with skin renewal. These seaweeds are often used in cosmeceutical products to increase collagen production and protect collagen and elastin, even skin tone and moisturize. Alginic acid in these sea plant extracts has a superfood effect (with antiviral and antioxidant activity), improves skin hydration, enhances wound healing and increases skin elasticity--thereby having an anti-aging effect. Red algae extract contains a compound that helps to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and age spots, and improve skin elasticity and texture.
🌊 Fermented Wakame: Wakame is a Japanese seaweed that you may often find in your miso soup that is super rich in sea vitamins and minerals and high in Vitamin C for cell renewal. Fermentation helps break down cellular walls, making nutrients more bioavailable to your skin.
🌊 Tahitian Sea Water: contains beneficial sea salts which improve skin (improve skin barrier and skin hydration, reduces inflammation, reduces skin wrinkling and roughness)
🌊 Marine Collagen: helps improve skin moisture levels, synthesize collagen and rejuvenate your skin.

Hi Alexa, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It's great to hear that Marine Serum and Asian Powerhouse Serum are helping you achieve your skin goals! - SB Team
This made me breakout with horrible, deep, painful pimples. I haven’t broken out with pimples like that in over 10 years. I wish it would have worked for me because the ingredients look great.
Hey Coe, we're so sorry that the ingredients didn't work for your skin. If you reach out to our customer service at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number, we'll help you out by getting you something else instead since this didn't work.
I bought this product as recommended to counter my redness near my chin and nose area. While it didn’t complete remove the redness, it definitely toned it down. I found that the constitution of this product works better if you apply Asian Powerhouse first because Marine is a bit stronger. It doesn’t work as well for me on its own without the APH. I love the way the product looks (the color and texture) makes me feel like a mermaid when I put it on my skin :)
Hi Sonjachardé, Thank you for the review on the Marine Serum, we appreciate your feedback! - SB Team
This stuff works. Period. My skin was angry, prone to this itchy, flakey double infection of facial dandruff and a yeast infection. When I added the Marine Serum into my routine, it calmed down and basically went away. The smell is slightly off-putting at first, but it fades super fast and is not a major detraction for me. My skin is very happy.
I got a travel-size version of this along with the Asian Powerhouse serum as one of my earliest purchases of this and somehow ended up using this up more quickly than the APH. (That being said, a little still goes a long way.) I primarily have dry skin so this seems to do a pretty good job of hydrating even though it's not actually a moisturizer. I like how it seems to calm down my skin when it's more inflamed too!
