A Sake Bomb is a beer with a shot of sake in it - and this mask contains the two critical components that actually make up a Sake Bomb - sake extracts and hops extracts - along with plant fruit acids and a heavy dose of glycolic acid.

🍶 Hops Extract helps fade dark spots, balance oil production, strengthens skin’s elasticity and brightens skin for a radiant glow
🍶 Fruit Acids (7.5%): A multi fruit acid complex (sugar cane, orange, lemon and sugar maple) helps to gently exfoliate the top layer of dead skin from your face
🍶 Glycolic Acid (7.5%): A glycolic acid complex increases the potency of the chemical exfoliation
🍶Arginine: an amino acid used to help protect skin from free radicals and which repairs damaged skin
🍶 Panthenol: Also known as Vitamin B5, this ingredient is a skin barrier protectant with anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your skin’s hydration, elasticity and to soothe red and irritated skin
🍶Aloe Vera: This is the base of the formulation to soothe skin despite being a strongly exfoliating formula.

I use this 1-2 times per week, regardless of season. I have been using my Travel Size for over a year. A little goes a long way! Since the pandemic, I stopped wearing make-up to hide my hyper pigmentation. The Bomb has helped fade my old acne and electrolysis scars. With the combination of other SB products, I have noticed a big change for the better in my skin's texture and appearance. My skin is smoother and brighter especially around my chin where most of my scars are located. Yes, it does sting a little but not as much as other products that were advertised NOT to sting. Love this mask—active, but not too aggressive!
I was a little worried that this sake bomb splash would be irritating on my sensitive skin but it's not at all!! I felt minimal stinging but not bad. It actually helped relieve my redness instead of causing it like most things do to me. Left my skin so soft and ready for my serums. Definitely a keeper.
Such a wonderful splash on mask! I use it in the shower 2-4 times per week. I follow it with either Rice Against the Patriarchy foaming cleanser or Rose Foaming Cleanser. When I step out of the shower, my face is baby soft. It helps get those little 'rough patches' that don't seem to leave with a simple double cleanse. It also helps my skin better absorb my serums. I notice that my freckles and darker areas on my face fade a bit when I use it. It is very easy to use and very good for my skin overall. Use it and you'll be surprised at how much smoother your face is when you're finished.
Unfortunately, I didn't care for this product too much. It doesn't seem to really do anything for me at all. 😕
