Meet Liz, Our Winter Box Reviewer!

Meet Liz, Our Winter Box Reviewer! - Sabbatical Beauty
In this series, we have our Winter Box Reviewers introduce themselves and let you know what their skin types and climates are like, so hopefully you can find a "skin twin" in them! Today, we're chatting with Liz! Want first dibs on the Winter Box? Sign up here!
Hey Liz! We’re so thrilled to have you on as a Winter Box Reviewer! Could you start by telling us about yourself?
liz
Absolutely! I’m a first year PhD student, wife and mom. Skin care is my daily reset and I take it seriously. I’m very excited to take this journey - a little nervous, if I’m honest - but excited to share it with ALL of the Sabbatical Beauties!
Awesome. Now could you tell us about your skin type, and the the conditions for winter for you?
My skin is combination - VERY oily T-zone and normal around the perimeter. I’m in North Florida where winters tend to be very dry - though that doesn’t happen for a few more weeks now. In the off times when it isn’t as cold as one might expect for Winter, it’s humid and tropical.
Great, now tell me about what SB products have worked, and have not worked for your skin, so hopefully some SB folk can find a “skin twin” in you!
My goodness - My daily, holy grail items are Vacuum Cleaner Cleansing Oiland Rose Foaming Cleanser, and Maple Essence Toner. If nothing else, I use those. As serums go, Four Tea has been wonderful for my skin. Other serums that I cycle through with success are Pearl, Red Wine, and Janah’s Strawberry Serum for daytime. If I’m going to serum at night, I do a routine of Pumpkin Spice Serum and Apple Cider Serum. Ekaterinaworks after a mask, as does Dorian Gray Beauty Oil.

Masks are my other SB favorite item! I LOVE to mix Sake Kasu and Dorothy’s Licorice Maskfor a brightening like never before. Soy and Riceis a mask I’ve just started and while I like it, the results haven’t been as dramatic.

Blueberries and Cream 2 was the first mask that I tried, and while I did enjoy it, it was a little TOO moisturizing for my face! Lift Serum is another item that I used, but didn’t see much difference with the results.
We’re so excited to work with you! More soon!
