Maple Essence Toner has been reformulated to both deeply hydrate your skin as well as to fundamentally repair a damaged skin barrier.
Key Ingredients Include:
๐ Maple Water: This ingredient is highly prized in Korean Beauty because of its tiny molecule size, allowing it to quickly penetrate your skin, delivering its antioxidant-rich goodness throughout. We chose Maple Water as a base for our essence/toner, to serve as a prepping stage for your face to absorb your other serum layers, facial oils and moisturizers even better.
Our Maple Essence Toner is over 80% Maple Water from Drink Simple, a small business which grows its maple trees on a Northern Vermont farm with rich soil conditions that create the most nutrient rich maple water.
๐ Hyaluronic Acid: This version of Maple Toner has *four* weights of hyaluronic acid, which increases moisture content in your skin, plumps skin and reduces visibility of fine lines and wrinkles
๐ Ceramide Complex: Ceramides help to repair a damaged skin barrier by reducing redness, irritation and flakiness, easing inflammation and smoothing visible lines and wrinkles.
๐ Fermented Minerals: Weโve included a complex of fermented magnesium, copper, zinc, iron and silicone to repair your skin barrier, heal inflammation and speed skin healing.
๐ Panthenol: This B Vitamin helps improve hydration, reduce itching and inflammation of the skin.
๐ Glucono Delta Lactone: This polyhydroxy acid provides the most gentle exfoliation, dissolving dead skin cells, improves appearance of fine lines and helps reduce excess oil. Because these molecules are larger than other acid exfoliants, they donโt penetrate the skin as deeply, thus reducing the likelihood of irritation.

Beauty Water was my go-to for several years, but I decided to give the Maple Essence Toner a try. It's silky going on and it gets absorbed very well. It feels very moisturizing. It's lovely on its own and is also a good base for serums. I usually use the Asian Powerhouse Serum next and then Eye Gel-Oil, another light serum, and then Calm Cream. My skin is sensitive and also very dry now due to chemo. The Sabbatical Beauty products are really helping me restore it. The Maple Essence Toner is a big part of that by moisturizing and providing a base for the serums.

I have been an SB stan for years now, and the old Maple Essence toner was part of my regular routine. I missed it while it was gone but the reformulation is so worth the wait! The texture is silky and smooth - like with other SB products, a little goes a VERY long way. I have combination skin that is easily irritated, and as I get older my skin is getting drier. This toner is cooling and soothing and feels like a protective barrier for my skin. I love it love it love it.

Just like many of the reviews, I have noticed that it really gets anything that wasn't removed after double cleansing. And I don't wear any make-up so it's just every day dirt and grime. I look at the cotton ball and am amazed that there's still crap left in my pores and on my face. It makes my skin soft and smooth; sometimes I can't stop touching it! I love that it doesn't sting or make my face red or irritated. And it smells wonderful!

Even after double cleansing, this toner does a great job at removing excess dirt and oil from your skin to allow the serums and moisturizers to really seep in. I love using a cotton pad to see all the excess dirt that comes off. The scent is clean and not overpowering. My only complaint is that the top of the bottle allows for more product to come out than is needed so it probably is not lasting as long as it would otherwise. Eve still, I tโs mid August 2022 and since October 2021 Iโve only purchased one travel size and one full size. The full size has 1/4 of the product left still. It would have much more if so much product didnโt come out at once.
