This was the very first Sabbatical Beauty cleanser made, and was designed for dry and sensitive skin like our founder, Adeline's skin type. It's low pH (5.5), the same as all of our cleansers, to maintain the natural acidic pH of your skin and keep out nasty bacteria that thrives at higher pH levels. It smells so good that our customers like to call it "Horchata Face" Your skin will be clean and smooth yet plump and supple after use.

Active ingredients include:

🥛Goat Milk Powder (10% of product) which reduces acne, inflammation & redness, contains lactic acid for natural exfoliation,

🥛Colloidal Oats: Helps very sensitive and inflamed skin, calms redness

🥛 Foaming Rice to clean your skin and help with brightening dark spots

🥛Aloe Vera to soothe, heal and help redness

🥛Quaternized Rice to improve your moisture barrier and to help with evening skin tone

Instructions: Shake well before use. Start with damp skin. Dispense a dime-sized amount onto hands and massage until lightly foaming. Rinse off with water or a moistened towel, then proceed with toner, serums, and moisturizers.

I started with the Donkey Cream as my very first product from the sabbatical beauty line, about 3 months ago. I finally found a product that didn't cause my skin to irritate and based on the reviews from others regarding sabbatical products I was convinced that the entire line would do wonders for my skin. I was wrong. I ,soon after, decided to purchase more products (Milk/rice cleanser, vacuum oil, calm cream, coffee scrub and toner) and my skin appeared to be flourishing, until recently. I noticed after washing my face with the cleanser, followed by the toner and donkey cream that my skin would ooze liquid from tiny bumps on my forehead. The condition gotten worse as time elapsed and those small bumps turned into a rash. I consulted with my derm and found out I have contact dermatitis. I reviewed all ingredients from every product I've used with sabbatical and noticed that 'fragrance' ( which by trade secret laws, can mean synthetic or natural but doesn't need to be fully disclosed natural and was listed as one of the ingredients in the facial cleanser. Very disappointed, especially after bein told that their products didn't contain any synthetic fragrances.

This product is absolutely beautiful. I have highly textured and sensitive skin, and i noticed a difference after just two uses.

1 2 punch with vacuum cleanser!

I love this cleanser. Sabbatical suggests using the vacuum oil cleanser first to pull out the junk of the day, then follow up with goat milk & rice foaming cleanser to prepare your skin for next steps. The vacuum cleanser gets a lot of hype (for good reason), so i wanted to emphasize here that this cleanser is its best friend!! My breakouts have gone away almost completely using this duo. I feel like my skin is a blank slate to soak up serum/lotion after. Can’t recommend enough!

Really a pleasant surprise!

Had no expectations but this is a real pleasure and I think I'm addicted now. Smell is great, foams up well, and just feels great after. Follow directions for use for best experience. Wet your face, press a dime sized amount in your hand, and then work in your hands until foaming action starts.
