CALM Cream

$ 15.00

This is a cream that targets very sensitive and acne-prone skin that is also dry or dehydrated. I designed it for my friend Carly who is allergic to many products. Many of my friends who tested an early version reported that it greatly diminished redness caused by acne or irritation.

Ingredients include Chamomile Water (20%, very effective in soothing dry, flaky, itchy skin, rashes and acne), Colloidal Oats (Excellent for sensitive skin, soothes irritation), Hydrolyzed Goat Milk (Goat milk is good for sensitive skin, and this hydrolyzed material helps creates a barrier against water loss), Sweet Almond Oil and Shea Butter for luxurious creamy moisture, Niacinamide and N-Acetyl Glucosamine for evening skin tone/discoloration, Panthenol to moisturize and soothe your skin, Licorice Root Extract (evens skin tone), Camellia Japonica Oil (Anti-inflammatory, stimulates collagen production) and Camellia Japonica extract (Potent antioxidant, boosts collagen).

Paired with the Hydra Serum, this is an effective weapon against winter dryness.

Lovely smelling and lovely feeling

In winter this is awesome under makeup and other things. In summer, I am finding it nice at night as a final cream before bed because my winter is coming is just too much. Try it - you'll LOVE it. Oh... and it will last you FOREVER - and if that doesn't make you calm... I don't know what will!

Year round cream

I use Calm as my last daytime layer in the cold, dry winter months. As the weather heats up and gets more humid Calm transitions to my final night time layer. It's not too heavy, never sticky, and it works wonders on my slight but noticeable redness along my nose. This will always be in my routines!

Lives up to its name

My skin can feel a bit prickly after I apply my serums in the morning, but this really seems to settle it down and ready it for my sunblock and the outdoors

Awesome with a Tiny Caveat!

I live at high altitude and in the desert so especially in the winter my skin gets dry, red, blotchy, and just generally irritated. I have aging skin but I am also still blessed with acne so I have to be really careful about the types of moisturizers I use because the wrong stuff makes me break out like crazy. I bought the full size of Calm because it was targeted towards redness, acne, and super dry skin - so ME! The first few nights I had it I was a bit lazy and I slathered it on before bed without washing my face first. I know - but my skin is just SO DRY I hate cleansing twice a day! I figured what harm could it do? Well after a couple days of this, my face rewarded me with some bad acne in the places where I had been using Calm and I was super frustrated.
But I've switched my approach and started instead using Calm in the morning after I wash my face and started avoiding areas where I'm super prone to breakouts. I've now been using Calm every morning before work and it has improved the redness and irritation SO MUCH. I love that it sinks in instead of sitting on the top of my skin too so I'm just soft and moisturized instead of greasy at work.

Seasonally Effective

I started using Calm in a very cold, very dry January, and it was amazing. Just what I needed. However, in the warmer months it makes me break out. I've switched to a moisturizer that I can use year-round and supplement as needed in the dryer months.
