Wise Old Crone Facial Oil

Holy Macaroni! This product is a workhorse improving acne scars and signs of aging without all the irritation that I normally get from retinols. The price might seem high but you don’t need much whereas with cheaper products you have to slather on a ton to get the same effect. The packaging is also great. No gross plastic bottle where you can’t figure out how much product is left etc.

As with all SB products, this comes very concentrated. My skin took a bit of time to adjust but with the east coast weather becoming cooler and dryer (heat is now on), my skin is getting drier too with more fine lines even when layering on thick cream. When I first used this, it broke me out here and there, but recently I started using it again and often as the final step after a light toner and first serum with hyaluronic acid (Without layering on another layer of moisturizer). It makes my skin less red, supple and bouncy, and the most magical thing of all, overnight it killed a lot of my deeper forehead lines and wrinkles around my eyes. Dorian Gray overall was much too rich for me, and I was amazed by this product as an alternative that is more suitable for skin starting to show signs of aging but doesn't need a whole lot of "richness" in terms of skincare products. It is a heavy price tag, but for comparison, I was trying the genaissance de la mer the eye & expression cream on the same forehead lines and after 4 days barely saw any change. This is far superior.

I'm going to give honest feedback because I was asked to review it but the last time I did this I got a negative response so please dont ask if you arent interested in what people have to say. I like trying as many SB products as possible because there are a few that I really like but some are not worth the money. This is one product I dont think I would buy again based on the price. The oil is nice, warm, has an interesting smell and makes my skin glow but not more than any other face oil I have tried. I would put it in the good but not great category.

I've been using this for several years (along with Dorian Gray Serum) and it's completely changed the texture and tone of my skin. Just a couple drops goes a long way. I love this stuff!! Thank you Sabbatical Beauty!!

It's blue, which is interesting. It smells mysteriously good. It makes my skin feel incredible. I was skeptical about trying Wise Old Crone Facial Oil, but it is every bit as luxurious and enriching as advertised. I have noted clearer skin, more even skin tone, reduced wrinkles/fine lines and stroke-able softness. I love it!
