Tell us about you!
I’m a working mother, daughter, wife, sister, grandma, auntie, and have lived in Oregon all my life (except for a year I spent near Sydney, Australia as an exchange student). I’ve worked (at least) two jobs (full-time hospital job and part-time acupuncturist) for the past 20 years and am just now contemplating the possibility of ‘just’ acupuncture. I haven’t decided yet if it’s a good thing or a bad thing! But more free time would be wonderful.
What makes you angry?
Injustice, entitlement, mean-spiritedness, insensitivity, chemical spills, political campaigns, getting cut off in traffic, yellow-jacket stings. I try not to spend much time in an angry place, although there are plenty of things to get legitimately angry about. Life is just too short.
What makes you happy?
Flowers blooming, family gatherings, bird-watching, gardening, a chubby-cheeked grandchild, nephew, or niece with grubby fingers and cheesy smiles! I love the refreshed feeling after lap-swimming or a long walk outdoors. Finding a red frog under my back porch stairs, or watching a mole dog-paddling through a rain-swollen field during a local Christmas bird count. Juvenile hawks bathing in my bird bath! My face feeling soft and supple, looking much more even, and breaking out so much less since starting SB about 5 months ago.
If you were an SB product, which product would you be, and why?
Wow, this is hard because I have eyes for SB products bigger than my stomach! (Bigger than my new budget as well.) I find I need so little, I have a TON of product ‘on hold’ in the fridge veggie bin that I haven’t given a fair trial yet! But it’s soooo hard to not want to get in on anything and everything new!
I adore the creams, although with summer I’ve had a hard time incorporating. Considering what I’ve used most or on a more consistent basis, I think I’d be Calm because I love the name, scent, and sentiment, in addition to really contributing to calming my acne-prone skin early on in my SB journey.
What’s your desert island SB product, and why?
Ekaterina! Because it is DIVINE!
What is your favorite thing about your skin?
Softened laugh lines and eye crinkles!
