Lotus Pressed Serum

$ 18.00

A "pressed serum" is a moisturizer packed so full with active ingredients that it doubles both as a serum and a moisturizer. The Lotus pressed serum highlights the lotus flower (20% white lotus extract, 10% blue lotus extract), which is known for its intense hydrating qualities, which helps improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and brown spots. Filled with natural alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), lotus extract helps to exfoliate skin naturally, as well as soothe redness. Lotus is also excellent for oil control and balancing oilier skins. The serum also contains Lycopene (strong antioxidant, strengthens skin by promoting its ability to produce collagen), oil soluble Vitamin C (small percentage), Vitamins A, C and E, essential fatty acids (enhances lycopene delivery, and important for healthy skin), 10% Astralagus extract (Huangqi, enhances immune system, protects body against stress, skin-healing), Cordyceps (Chinese mushroom with anti-aging effects), Chinese Astralagus (Dong Quai, also known as the "Woman's ginseng", improves complexion, aids dexotification, treats eczema and rosacea).

Unfragranced. Made without Parabens.

Apply after cleansing and lighter essences and serums, and before facial oils, moisturizers and sunscreen. In warm and humid climates, this can stand alone as a moisturizer.

Miracle redness reducer

I've never used a product before that actually reduced redness on my face *instantly* and all day! This is my favorite pressed serum and I am very sad that it's a limited edition. Please bring it back in the future!

Favorite Moisturizer

I grew up in the desert, and I really understood skincare in that climate - hydrate, hydrate, moisturize, sunscreen, hydrate some more. I recently moved to a hot, humid climate, and discovered, like Jon Snow, I know nothing. My tinted moisturizers and sunscreens were literally sliding off my face. My eye creams were running into my eyes. I was a mess.

I was a bit skeptical reading on the site that this serum could be used in place of a moisturizer in humid climates, but I was willing to give it a shot. And I'm so glad I did. A small amount warmed between your fingers and then patted into your skin will keep your face and neck fresh and glowy all day, without sliding off, enlarging pores, or causing breakouts. It has a very slightly sticky texture that never feels slick or greasy, and makeup blends well over it. Love it.

For Baby Soft Skin

I've long used Cetaphil as my moisturizer. Generally, I thought it was doing a good job of providing my skin with hydration. That was until I tried Lotus. Now I realize that Cetaphil and basically every other moisturizer I've ever used was just a top-coat of oil on my face. Lotus feels sticky at first, but within a couple of minutes, it's totally absorbed into the skin, leaving it baby soft and smooth (not greasy or sticky like most deep moisturizers). Definitely a must-have product!

Awesome Adjustable Serum

I just got this a few minutes ago. First of all, I love how thick and sticky it is because you can either use it as a thick mask (which I will do once a week) or do like I did for a more daily routine and thin with another serum. In my case, I had already used Asian Powerhouse in my morning routine but I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to use so I used the Moar Honey II serum. My skin felt and look wonderful after applying. Still a bit sticky which I don't mind but I wanted to see what would happen if I applied my Camellia Gold Oil over and massaged in. So nom. Looks great. Really refreshed my skin from the trip to L.A. I just took. I love the ingredients in this serum and hope if any reformulation occurs due to its consistency that they don't do it at the sacrifice of its active ingredients! I think it's one of those products that I find my own way to use and it happened pretty quick. Thanks!
