Birch sap, or the water tapped from birch trees, is fast gaining recognition in the highly innovative and competitive Korean skin care space for its ability to reduce inflammation, purify and hydrate skin. Often referred to as the tree of life, birch is found across northern Europe, particularly in Scandinavia, and has been used throughout history as a medicinal plant. In addition, researchers at the University of Lancaster found that birch trees reduced pollution levels in the surrounding areas by 50% when planted on urban streets.
Our Birch Essence Toner contains 70% birch sap as a base, Hyaluronic Acid for deep hydration, white willow bark and fruit enzymes for a gentle exfoliation, rice proteins to protect your skin barrier, and Panthenol for skin conditioning. This was a tester product that our tester group could not wait for us to bring to market!

🌳 Birch Sap: Birch sap contains 17 amino acids, minerals, enzymes, proteins, antioxidants and vitamins for treating your skin, and has for centuries been used as a traditional beauty remedy in Russia, Northern Europe and Japan. Recent published research has shown that birch sap shows antioxidant, anti-inflammatory & DNA protection/repair activity and has anti-aging effects.
🌳 Hyaluronic Acid: this naturally occurring compound in your skin holds up to six liters of water per gram, helping your skin retain moisture and plumpness.
🌳 Hydrolyzed and quaternized rice: these rice proteins help improve your skin barrier function and to prevent trans-epidermal water loss.
🌳 White willow bark and fruit enzyme complex: these ingredients provide a mild exfoliation to your skin, helping treat excess oil, increase hydration and reduce the appearance of dark spots and scars.
🌳 Panthenol, also known as Vitamin B5, is a skin protectant with anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve your skin’s hydration, elasticity and smoothness.
