Sakekasu Mask

$ 15.00

Sakekasu are the leftover lees that come from making sake. They are left behind after the liquid is expressed from fermented rice. Sakekasu is the miracle ingredient in many Korean and Japanese skincare brands, and was accidentally discovered when a company noticed that older workers who handled the sake had extremely youthful looking hands, in comparison to their aged faces. The magic ingredient in sakekasu is kojic acid, which is clinically proven to help lighten discoloration, and also has anti-aging properties.

Our users have also found this to be a very effective overnight spot treatment for acne. Just dab a little bit on your spot after cleansing, serums and moisturizing.

This was a tough sell, BUT....

The smell definitely got to me at first, but skin feels sooooo amazing afterwards that I kept going back. Perfectly smooth skin! I keep the mask away from my nose and focus on the effects afterwards. I’ll be buying another full size very soon!

magic

This mask is simply wonderful. I use it about once a week; it's refreshing and a bit tingly, and it feels clarifying, like it gets all the junk off my face. Similar to the way a clay mask leaves me feeling, but far less drying. Highly recommended.

2-in-1 miracle in a jar!

Sakekasu Mask is truly a 2-in-1 miracle in a jar. I was quite taken aback at first, as this mask looks like miso paste and smells like soya sauce! However, don't let its appearance and smell fool you or put you off. Sakekasu is more than just a mask. It's an amazing spot on treatment for pimples, existing ones and those that are just starting out. Dabbing it on so that it covers the zit seems to work better than massaging it in. I apply it as the last step in my pm routine and the next morning, my pimples have either subsided or diminished considerably. Miraculous!

I’m wearing this right now.

This mask is my fave so far. It’s so effective with fine lines around my eyes and I’m starting it on nightly spot treatment when I have a blemish pop up.

Weird but works!

This mask is grainy and kind of watery. It doesn’t smooth on like some other masks, but I can feel it working and it makes my skin so smooth.
