Dorian Gray was so flamboyant he wouldn't just have had his own Dorian Gray Serum but also would have had his own Beauty Oil, so I made one. This serum contains cosmeceutical ingredients scientifically proven to create change in skin (retinol and Vitamin C, and botanical ingredients that are traditionally used around the world to brighten skin and delay signs of aging (sake, tsubaki, black currant)

Dorian's Beauty Oil is also scented with a very subtle rose fragrance that comes from a concentrated Rose extract. Use paired with the Dorian Gray Serum for best results.

Ingredient Deep Dive:

🌸Camellia Japonica Oil: Also known as Tsubaki oil, this skin-identical oil sinks in quickly and is the traditional Geisha secret to flawless skin and hair. This oil is rich in oleic acid and vitamins A, B, D and E as well as nourishing Omega 3, 6 and 9.

🌸Sake extract for potent skin brightening and anti aging properties

🌸Our retinol (5% of product) is gentle and well tolerated by most folks with sensitive skin

🌸Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (10%) is a gentle, stable oil soluble form of Vitamin C that does not degrade as quickly as L-Ascorbic Acid. Vitamin C is great for brightening and evening skin tone

🌸Black Current Extract is high in Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA) to reduce wrinkle formation and repair tissue damage

  • Anti-aging
  • Brightening
  • Anti-acne
  • Fades scars
  • Skin identical so absorbs quickly

Apply on a cleansed face, after serums. Can be used as a moisturizer.

As this product contains retinol, avoid during pregnancy. Both Retinol and Vitamin C also make your skin more photosensitive, so be sure to use sunscreen while using this product.

Might not be so suitable for hot and humid climate

I use this every night and try to follow with a massage. Just like what the other SB users advised, I have to seal it in with a night moisturiser, otherwise it just kind of floats at the surface of the skin. But with the night moisturiser, I feel it is quite heavy. The hot and humid weather is contributing to it I’m sure. However, the next morning, the skin always feels soft and nice.

Magical results (and love how it smells!) but will save for days I'm getting less sun

Here in the PNW we need to venture out in the sun when opportunity presents itself. I am impressed with the results from DG. Fine lines became less visible, which says a lot given how long covid-related stress/lack of sleep has persisted (unsurprisingly, it turns out that balancing a career and two kids < 5 really shows up on this mom's face). The only negative part of my DG experience -- which shouldn't come as a surprise, given that the product includes retinol -- is that I noticed photosensitivity, despite wearing high SPF and a hat. My melanin-challenged skin probably doesn't help. So, I've pivoted to Lift Serum for the summer and will return to DG once the precious PNW sunshine disappears. Two thumbs up! Do yourself a favor and get some while it's available.

Dorian Gray is total magic

Do not pass up the Dorian Gray Beauty Oil! I use this at night as my last step before my sleep pack, and let me just say that when I wake up, my skin is so smooth. I feel like since I have been using this my skin is supple and healthy as if I was--you guessed it--years younger. Can't say enough about this product. I have always used it alongside the serum, so it is hard for me to separate their effects greatly, but this one is definitely heavier and goes on later in the routine, and acts more as a moisturizer for me. But get both! You won't regret it!

I think it works, but I don't think I will rebuy this

Age 40+ w/ start of nasolabial folds, loss of elasticity and collagen, some settling of 11's, horizontal forehead wrinkles. Skin was oily for most of my life and now settled into combination. I got the tester and it has lasted FOREVER, which is nice. Along with other products I have found this has lightened the depth of my incipient wrinkles. And it is a gentle retinol for those with sensitivities. My skin is pretty tough so I think I will get a prescription from my dermatologist for an affordable Tretinoin alternative. I('ve read in many sources that retinol/tretinoin works regardless of whether it's from a drugstore cheap brand or a fancy high-end brand.)

How much younger CAN my skin look?

Love the DGBS, but this adds another special, sheer, soft-as-silk layer. Not sure if I'm Dorian Gray or Benjamin Button
