Bamboo Cleansing Balm

$ 12.00

I designed this balm for my friend Annemarie, who has very sensitive skin. This balm is made mostly from Fractionated Coconut Oil, which is extremely neutral and well suited for very sensitive skins, and Apricot Kernel Oil (Antioxidant, Anti-Aging, Anti-Bacterial), and is scented like freshly cut Bamboo.

Instructions: Apply on dry skin. Massage a dime-sized portion onto a dry face to remove makeup and impurities. Rinse off. Follow with rest of routine.

Made Without Parabens.

Travel size: 1 oz, Full size: 4oz

Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Fractionated Coconut Oil), Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Polysorbate 80, Polyglycerol-3 Beeswax (Cera Bellina), Fragrance.

NB. Price of the Bamboo Cleansing Balm is more expensive than the other balms because of the cost of the ingredients.

I've been using the Rose Cleansing Balm for the past year and have loved it, but I was ready to try something new and see if there was a thicker balm for those deep makeup pores. This balm did not disappoint! My makeup slides off and when I need a deep cleansing before a mask I just massage a little longer and my pores just eat this stuff up! Love love love!

Cleaner, clearer face

I was leery of using balms for cleansing. My skin is sensitive and temperamental - meaning it reacts to things and breaks out whenever it decides to. After just a couple of uses, I was hooked. My pores are getting smaller, it's easier to remove blackheads and they frequently remove themselves (they come out while I'm massaging this on my face!), and the scent is absolutely fresh. Just smelling it makes me feel clean. It is thick but melts with the warmth of fingers or on the face very quickly. It also travels really well, a big bonus.

Smells great, works great

I've tried all of the balm cleansers on here. The rose and lavender rosemary are great and smell wonderful. They didn't break me out, but I do have fairly sensitive skin, so I thought I would give the Bamboo cleansing balm a shot.

I love this stuff. LOVE IT. It smells so refreshing, and it takes off all of my makeup really easily. I also like how solid it is in the container. It keeps me from overusing the product. A little bit definitely goes a long way. I've also been reading a lot about the benefits of coconut oil for the skin, and I'm glad that this uses coconut oil as an alternative for mineral oil. Will definitely repurchase!

Best Smell Ever

I have been devoted to cleansing with oil for quite a while now, so balms are a logical next step. First, the smell of this made me giddy (literally, my eyes rolled back a little - it was embarrassing.) It has a fresh, "aquatic-woody" smell, and a thick texture that melts when you rub it in your hands. Despite the thickness, for me it rinses pretty cleanly (the feeling of oil cleanser rinsing off can take some getting used to - your face definitely does not feel "squeaky clean", which is a good thing) and as far as I can tell doesn't leave any scent on my face. My blackheads are looking smaller and are much easier to extract (I know, I know, I should do that!) As a bonus, the fact that it's a balm and not an oil means it travels well - unlike an oil, it doesn't leak in your bag. I suppose it might leak if it melts, but I have yet to use it in a warm climate, so we'll see.

Pore reducer!

When buying Calm cream, I got the sample of Bamboo because I wanted to get free shipping. I was intrigued by a cleanser that didn't require wetting your face first, originally I felt weird trying it but when I rinsed my face, I was amazed: it made my pores look smaller! I've got pretty big pores, especially on my nose, that I've always been self-conscious about. So any product that helps with that and also doesn't dry my face out is fantastic in my eyes.

Also, as a test, I used it to take off some very dark lipstick and it worked really well and didn't bother my lips at all (which is unheard of as my lips are beyond sensitive and dry out faster than you can say "Sahara").

This is a must-buy for me! I will definitely order the full-size once my sample runs out.
